Bio

Coach Lisa (Garey) Edwards started playing volleyball at Tunkhannock Area High School. While at Tunkhannock her team won three district titles and made 3 state playoff appearances in her 4 years in high school. She was a first-team conference all-star.  She also participated in the Keystone State Games in high school.  Lisa continued her playing career at Shippensburg University. While at Shippensburg, her team reached the PSAC Championship Tournament her freshman year. She was also named Conference Rookie of the Year, the first player in school history to achieve this recognition.  Lisa was named Second Team All-Conference two other years at Shippensburg.  She is currently second in school history for solo blocks in her career. Lisa is 5th in the PSAC history for career solo blocks. After college, Lisa continued playing volleyball at the club level and in various leagues.  She currently coaches in the Abington Youth Volleyball League and has coached teams in the Keystone State Games. She has also coached in youth basketball leagues. Lisa is currently the secretary of the Abington Youth Volleyball League.
 Lisa has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and currently resides with her family in South Abington Township. Her husband, Jesse, is also a former college volleyball player and coaches with AYVL and ‘EndMo.’ They have two children that go to Abington Heights Middle School.
