Bio

Christine (Fontaine) Krempasky has been involved in the sport of volleyball since fifth grade at St. Titus in Norristown, PA. During her freshman year in high school, the team was a parent-sponsored club at Gwynedd Mercy Academy (Pa.) The “Monarchs” volleyball team became an official high school team her sophomore year, and the GMA volleyball team became the Bicentennial League Champions their inaugural year (1995-96) as well as the following year (1996-97). During her senior year at GMA, Christine was awarded Most Valuable Player. She played travel volleyball for Buxmont Setsationals in 1997 and 1998.

Christine is an alumna of the University of Scranton (Pa.) She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences (2003), a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy (2004), and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (2013). She continued her volleyball career at the University of Scranton for four seasons (1998-2001). As a member of the University of Scranton volleyball team, she won two Freedom Conference Championships (1999, 2001) and made appearances in the ECAC (2000) and NCAA Division III tournaments (1999, 2001). Her college volleyball career was highlighted her senior year with the following accolades: Team Captain, Most Valuable Player, Freedom Conference First team, Conference Leader in Hitting Percentage, 3-time Freedom Conference Player of the Week, U of S Athlete of the Week, Merit Award for Academic Excellence and Athletic Achievement, and MAC Academic Honor Roll for Fall Sports. She was honored to receive the Father Fitzpatrick Award (2002) given to the senior student-athlete for outstanding leadership and service. Christine was an assistant coach for the University of Scranton Women’s Volleyball team during her graduate years (2002, 2003).

Christine continued to play in various adult volleyball leagues throughout the years until she started coaching multiple youth sports, including volleyball, softball (2016-2021), and soccer (2014-2015). She is one of the founding board members and the current Vice President and 10U Commissioner of Abington Youth Volleyball League. Coach Chris coached 10U from 2017-2020 and 12U for the 2021 spring recreational season. She was a 12U coach for Endless Momentum last year and will be starting her second year with Endless Momentum Volleyball Club.

Coach Chris and her husband, Jesse, have lived in Clarks Summit, PA, since 2012 and previously in Fleetville, PA, from 2007-2012. They have two children, Nathan and Alaina. Nathan plays baseball and basketball and is part of a mountain biking team. Alaina plays volleyball, softball, and basketball. Alaina is following in her mother’s footsteps and started volleyball with the 10U rec clinic in 3rd grade and played 12U for Endless Momentum last season. Christine has been a Physical Therapist for 17 years and is the Senior Physical Therapist at Allied Services Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
